Securing Your Spot: What to Expect When Booking the Complex PTSD Masterclass
A premier professional development experience is waiting for you in the Riviera Maya. From January 27–30, 2027, CE Trips will host the Complex PTSD Masterclass at the Iberostar Paraíso Complex in Mexico.
This four-day complex PTSD workshop combines advanced clinical education with a beautiful beachfront setting. You will spend each morning developing practical knowledge for trauma-informed care, then have the rest of the day to relax, explore, connect with colleagues, or enjoy time with your family.
The workshop fee is CAD $1,200, tax included, and successful participants will receive 12 continuing education credits. Here is what you should know before booking.
Start with your hotel reservation
The first step is securing your accommodation at the Iberostar Paraíso Complex. Workshop participants are required to stay on site at one of the participating Iberostar properties.
This arrangement gives you convenient access to the resort’s conference facilities, restaurants, pools, beach areas, waterpark, and other amenities. It also helps CE Trips maintain the room block connected to the workshop.

You can select the property and room style that best suits your preferences and budget. The minimum stay is January 27–30, 2027, covering the full workshop period. You may also extend your trip using the same booking code for up to three days before or after the masterclass.

The workshop fee is CAD $1,200 total, including tax. Your invoice will show CAD $1,142.86 plus 5% GST. The workshop fee does not include airfare, hotel accommodation, meals outside of your hotel arrangements, or transportation to and from the resort.
Registering secures your place in the clinical training. Your hotel reservation is managed separately through Iberostar, which means both steps are important. We strongly recommend booking your hotel and registering for the workshop at the same time because training seats and preferred rooms are subject to availability.

Enjoy a practical morning-only schedule
Your professional development will take place each morning from 09:00 to 12:30.
This schedule is designed to give you focused learning time without taking over your entire day. After the morning session, you can choose how to spend your time. You might enjoy the beach, take a swim, explore the resort, schedule an excursion, or simply rest in the warm Riviera Maya sunshine.
The daily schedule is:
Wednesday, January 27: History of trauma-related disorders, DSM and ICD diagnostic considerations, CPTSD compared with PTSD and BPD, neurobiology, and symptom-informed treatment planning.
Thursday, January 28: Theoretical models of CPTSD, adaptive information processing, schema theory, developmental trauma, cumulative trauma, and theory-informed case conceptualization.
Friday, January 29: Ideographic case conceptualization, trauma symptoms as coping strategies, psychoeducation, motivation, and treatment of core trauma symptoms.
Saturday, January 30: Disturbances in affective regulation, self-concept, and interpersonal relationships, followed by integrative treatment planning and clinical wrap-up.
You must attend all scheduled training days and sign in and out each day to receive the full CE award. Partial credit is not available.
Earn 12 CE credits for your professional development
The Complex PTSD Masterclass is designed for licensed mental health professionals who want to strengthen their trauma treatment knowledge and clinical confidence.
The intended audience includes:

Other licensed behavioral health professionals who provide therapeutic support
The workshop is an intermediate to advanced trauma treatment training for therapists and other clinicians with prior therapy experience. You do not need to be certified in CBT, Schema Therapy, DBT, EMDR, or an attachment-oriented approach to participate.
Instead, the workshop explores how concepts from these evidence-based modalities can contribute to an individualized treatment plan. The goal is to help you understand complex trauma presentations more clearly and respond to clients’ underlying needs with greater flexibility.
Upon successful completion, participants will be awarded 12 CE credits. CE certificates are provided online through CE-Classes.com after you complete the workshop, register with the provider, enter the required keycode, and submit the evaluation form.
CE-Classes.com is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. Additional state and provincial approvals may apply. Because requirements differ by jurisdiction, we encourage you to confirm the applicability of the credits with your regulatory board before registering.
Please note that the course is not available for NBCC credit and does not offer ASWB ACE credit for social workers.
Plan your travel with ease
The Iberostar Paraíso Complex is approximately 30 minutes from Cancún International Airport. Hotel accommodations typically do not include airport transportation, so you will need to arrange your own taxi or pre-book a private transfer.
We recommend arriving on or before Tuesday, January 26, the day before the masterclass begins. This gives you time to check in, settle into your room, and be ready for the first session at 09:00 on January 27.
Flights and transportation are your responsibility. CE Trips cannot assume responsibility for airline delays, cancellations, missed sessions, or travel-related costs. No refunds, transfers, or CE credits are available for training time missed because of flight disruptions.
A little preparation allows you to enjoy the experience with fewer concerns. Confirm your travel documents, review your hotel booking, arrange airport transportation, and allow enough time to arrive before the opening session.
Bring your family or travel companion
Your professional development experience can also become a meaningful personal getaway. Spouses, partners, and family members are welcome to join you in the Riviera Maya.
While you attend the morning sessions, your companions can enjoy the resort, beach, pools, restaurants, and local attractions. After class, you can reconnect and experience the destination together.

In summary:
Cancellations received 60 or more calendar days before January 27, 2027, qualify for a full refund minus a 6% processing fee.
Cancellations received 59 to 10 days before the workshop are not refundable, but may qualify for a one-time CAD $500 discount toward a future training.
Cancellations received fewer than 10 days before the workshop are not eligible for a refund, credit, or promo code.
